I have never played a sport in my life. I’m 6’1 185 pounds. Bench press – 215 Squat 245 – power clean 205. There’s a local mma gym in my town. I have some bodyfat and have plenty of time to workout. How much weight should i lose, how much strength should i gain before i go down and hit the gym and train up? I want to be plenty strong in gym before i hit the mat and train mma. Please help!? Thanks!

Will that black belt mean anything less? How can a black belt teach students when he has not tasted a single competition, win or lose?

If I earned a black belt in taekwondo at one school but then move far away and start training at a different school, would I have to start at white belt again? Let’s say that my last lesson at the previous dojang was 2 months before starting at a new dojang.
