- Guam Aikido Association holding exhibitions Sept. 13

2:30 p.m., Sept. 3 - The Guam Aikido Association will hold free table tennis and aikido exhibitions followed by classes 3 to 6 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Merizo community center. The instructor for table tennis is Hisamitsu Hamamoto, instructor of the University of Guam Japanese Table Tennis Club, who is the owner of Hamamoto Gardens. The instructor of aikido is Mutsuko Minegishi, chief instructor of the Guam Aikido Association, also known as Guam Aikikai. The classes are also free, and anyone interested may participate. For more information, call Minegishi at 646-8855 or the Merizo community center at 828-8312/8772. Go to the sports section of GuamPDN.com tomorrow for a local roundup.
